It is the 50th Anniversary of National Poison Prevention Week...

Poison Prevention Week is dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of poisoning. Children younger than 6 years old account for about half of the calls placed to poison centers involving exposure to poisons. For accidents or questions involving medicines, chemicals or household products call the toll-free Poison Help at 800-222-1222 to be connected to a poison expert at your local poison center.  The Poison Help line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year and help is available in over 150 languages. It doesn't have to be an emergency to call the Poison Help line (800-222-1222). Don't guess, be sure. Visit the Poison Help website for more information at www.PoisonHelp.hrsa.gov
