Onsite Wastewater Program
The Onsite Wastewater Program begins with the use of onsite evaluations to determine if site and soil conditions are suitable for onsite wastewater systems. Certified inspectors perform site evaluations and inspections in Kentucky and certified installers must install systems unless a homeowner wishes to install his or her own system and obtains a homeowner’s permit.
The Environmental Department offers the required CEU training courses for Certified Installers Annually. Contact our office for details.

The current fees for these services are as follows
Site Evaluation $150.00 (an official address is required to apply for this service)
On-Site Sewage Permit $130.00
Repair/Alteration Permit $85.00
Existing System Inspection $100.00
Water Samples (private water only-wells) $15.00
Plan Review, local fee, $30.00 (additional fees may be required)
